ISAIAH 43:1
But now says the Lord who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
And I encourage you to continue to read on the rest of the chapter
Are you hurting?
Are you in pain?
Again, and again?
The same area on repeat?
Feels like you’re going in circles or stuck in a cycle?
“I always try to go back, but whenever I do, it seems like nothing is changing”
He who created you and formed you is calling you to come back
FEAR NOT
I REDEEMED YOU
I AM CALLING YOU BY YOUR NAME
YOU ARE MINE
Sin, specially when we enjoy living in it, draw us away from the Lord. It is so difficult to go back specially when it pushes you to crumble on the corner or become prisoners of an open cage. The Lord is telling you today to fear not, He is inviting you instead, inviting you to cling on to the hope offered freely. Because He knows you are struggling, let Him help you. You may feel defeated or small, allow Him to wrap you with His huge love.
As it was written
…perfect love casts out fear
1 John 4:18
But then…
Worldly fear is way different than the reverential fear of the Lord.
“I am afraid of the Lord that’s why I’d rather stay here” is different than “I fear the Lord for He is Holy and Loving and wants to pursue a relationship with me” and when you have the latter, it leads you to TRUE repentance and surrender. This pleases God. And it has been said that when we confess, He is faithful to forgive out of His grace, 1 John 1:9
Now, way before you meant for a heartfelt encounter, remember that He was first to desire this encounter with you. He has redeemed you already, 2000+ years ago, do you remember that?
He is now calling you by your name, _______
You are not a slave of your past anymore.
I know, easy said than done. But that requires commitment and to keep choosing to do so, dying to oneself daily, carrying your own cross. Which is only possible by the grace of God by the way. You can’t do it by your own. Abiding to His Word is one of the many ways.
That’s enough, calm down, stop fighting His warm embrace, stop resisting, COME BACK.
The Lord said in verses 18-19: “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth…”
But then, sorry to spoil but the story isn’t about you. It is His story in your life.
You may have lived your life foolishly before, but that’s in the past now. The Lord desires for you to Overcome in Jesus’ Name!
And when we do, somehow, we develop authority over those sins and God is going to use your story to reach out to others. Just as you met the Lord through those valleys and were saved from that, now He appoints you to testify as His witness. To be a mouthpiece of His love and redemption.
I believe that if you have a setback, you will have a comeback
As it was in Romans 8:37, We are called to be MORE THAN conquerors meaning, when you conquer (by His grace) may you have the courage to go back to that pit and pull someone else from it. It’s because you felt His love and you won’t let others miss that grace you have experienced. You’re so eager to share it.
Also, you don’t have to perfect it in the first day. No one requires you to. Be kind to yourself. Remember that it is a process, it doesn’t happen overnight. Life doesn’t stop just by a single mistake. Remember that He who began a good work in us will finish until the Day of the Lord.
He is the One who qualifies so stop disqualifying yourself.
Verse 10: “You are My witnesses”, says the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He…”
And in verse 13: God works and no one can reverse it.
You are chosen
You are being called
Listen to what the Lord is telling you right now…
YOU ARE MINE
Welcome Back.
