“God is the God who can make someone that they’re not, as though he or she was” — Unashamed Generation Ministries speaker
He can make nothing into something. As long as He says something about you, that is the Truth.
Being used by God comes with great responsibility. But it is when you are given responsibilities, (i.e. laying something down), where miracles can happen.
1. Lay Down Your Reputation.
Your life has an impact. You need to worry about your love to people, not your reputation. This is one of the hardest struggles of everyone nowadays, especially when it comes to the topic of pride. People tend to naturally become competitive with each other, as if we have been ordered to rule or be better than the other. But that is not the case with God. He sees what’s in our hearts, not what’s in our actions. We need to learn how to prioritize our love for people, rather than our love for competition.
2. Lay Down Your Time.
If you knew someone’s story, you will never learn to love. Negative words, inseciruty, hurt, pain, guilt — lay down your time to people. Layers of love can fight these layers of negativity.
You matter.
3. Lay Down Your Life.
When you lay down your life to Jesus, it means that you’re going to make a decision. Become a member in a church, read the Word (Bible)… You will find that you will know more about yourself when you read the Word; not through snapchat or twitter.
There is no one too young to make an impact.
The world offers us a lot of things that we think can give us salvation, i.e. Nike shoes, but there is no one else who can give us or make us experience true salvation than Jesus Christ.
(Special thanks to an Unashamed Generation Ministries speaker for his insights on this post. God bless!)
