Achieve your goals through a vision board.

– Rosette Ann
What is a Vision Board?
“A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on what truly matters to you. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life.” (S.LaBorde, 2020)
How does it work?
“A Vision Board is a visual representation of the things you want to have in your life. Vision Boards work by programming the part of the brain responsible for attention, the reticular activating system. By focusing your mind to the things you want in your life you are able to see new ways to achieve these things in reality.
The simple act of writing down your goals makes you much more likely to accomplish them.”

There are three things that you should keep in mind when making your vision board.
- Keep your attention on your intentions.
- Identify your vision and give it clarity.
- Reinforce your daily affirmations.
1.Keep your attention on your intentions.
What is your purpose and intention?
When I first made my own vision board, I put a million dollar house with a million dollar car which was a red Ferrari. I knew there was a thin chance of achieving it, let alone in a year. I just had fun making it, but now I see the importance of purpose and intention. Yes I want a house and a car, which is still achievable.
Back then, my purpose was to focus on saving which will lead to being successful, which I thought was having a house and a luxury car. As time goes by, my definition of successful changed and what I longed for was similar, but it transformed as well.
2.Identify your vision and give it clarity.
Think and reflect what picture represents your purpose and intention on the vision board.
3.Reinforce your daily affirmations.
“Once you dream it, the next step is to believe it. In addition to images, vision boards can include words, phrases or sentences that affirm your intentions.
Affirmations help you stop the negative self-talk, release you from those limiting beliefs, and allow you to realize your full potential.”
